LEADS The first sentence, or sentences, in a piece of writing. The lead must be interesting. It should hook the reader into reading the rest of the writing.

SEQUENCE Sequence is the order of the events or information in a piece of writing.

CONCLUSION The end of a piece of writing. The conclusion finishes a piece of writing in a satisfying way.

RUBRIC How to get a 5: There is a logical order. It makes sense and is easy to follow. Everything ties together. The lead sentences says, WOW! The end feels finished and makes the reader think.
