Today was the Sign of the Cross Assessment. If your child has a ”Retest on 9/25” written in their homework slot, they will be checked again Tuesday.

Important Information:
There will be a Spelling Test next Thursday! List 3- students should know how to spell the words using the correct size lower case letters. For example a lower case t should be taller than the i and a p should sit on the line p . You will find their pretest in today’s packet.
We had a great time at Lynd’s picking apples, tasting cider and learning many new things about apples. Thank you to the volunteers who were able to join us!
We also did apple tasting, graphing and wrote about apples using adjectives throughout the week!
Next week, we are going to start a unit on simple machines to prepare for our trip to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center!!!!!!!!! We will be going there on October 4th. The cost of the trip is $10.00 per student. Please fill out the permission slip and return that along with the cash by Friday, September 28th. This trip is in the morning and we will return in time for lunch. Students may buy or pack as usual. Students should wear their gym clothes. We are unable to take parent volunteers, chaperones are being covered by school staff.
FYI: Sorry for the short notice on Legoland – they just confirmed the date this week. Thanks to Home and School for donating to our trip to bring the cost down to $10.00 per student. This will be our last field trip for the semester.
We will be doing random uniform checks! Please help us out by making sure that your child is following the dress code from the SPX handbook.
COSI on Wheels was great! The kids really enjoyed the presentation and the many hands on activities about our ecosystems.
