Answer the following questions: 1. Explain the irony of what happens at the end of the story with the major’s wife. 2. How does this story reflect the sense of disillusionment that arose among writers and artists during WWI? Explain. 3. Are technological advancements more helpful or destructive for mankind? Give at least three specific examples to support your position.
