A Peek At What We Are Learning
ELA: Language Quiz Friday on sentences; Context Clues Test Friday; Reading Comprehension Test Thursday. This week’s skills: common and proper nouns, run-on sentences, using context clues, compare/contrast, chronological order
Math: Tests Wednesday-addition and Friday-subtraction; the students will fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm; apply addition and subtraction skills to solve real world word problems
Science: Unit Test Friday- weathering and erosion. In-class activities; interactive notebooks for studying. The students will build structures that withstand earthquakes and create ideas to prevent landslides.
Social Studies: European explorers of the Americas; in-class activities
