A set of personal values that we use as a “guide” in our day-to-day interactions Can be well defined or vary according to the situation Challenging to abide by your personal ethics when you know a negative outcome will result

Family Ex: be respectful of others Religion Ex: be trustworthy Experience Ex: if fight you’ll get kicked out of school Teacher Ex: don’t cheat or you will fail
