Imagine yourself as a person living a long time ago, and suddenly an unexpected eclipse darkens the sky at midday. Describe in paragraphs what conclusions you may draw as to what is happening. Tell how you would react. Write a brief story.

3. Be an Angel (Aug 22)
Today is Be an Angel Day, which started in 1993 to encourage people to do random acts of kindness. I know there have been days when I needed an angel, and I was fortunate that someone stepped up. Write about a few things you could do to lift someone up today. Think about the difference you could make! Also, are there a couple things you wish an angel would step up and do for you today?
Do not use “I think…” or “In my opinion…”

4. One More Day of Summer (Sept. 4)
Labor Day marks the unofficial last day of summer. If you had one more day of summer and the choice to do ANYTHING you wanted, what would you do? Tell about the activities you would choose and any people you would choose to do them with.

Nathan Harmon suggested that you hold 4 things near and dear: your dreams, your education, your character, and your support system. Who do you consider your support system? Tell me who you have in your corner, or who you rely on for encouragement and support. Describe each of their roles in your life and their roles in society.
