What is Networking? Getting to know people both on a personal level (family, friends) and a professional level (colleagues) so they may by a source of information and/or support for you, including EMPLOYMENT!

The bigger your network, the more opportunities will come your way Think of your network as if it was a web with you in the middle

What can people in your network do for you?
Information; hints, suggestions, support, advice, encouragement, etc. They share experiences You meet people in their network

Networking Activity Activity: On your piece of paper put your name and something you would like to learn more about. Put it on the wall. Circulate and put your name and the appropriate number on the sheets which apply to you: 1. I know something about this area myself 2. I know someone who can help 3. I know someone who probably knows someone who can help Example: Teaching Mr. Champion #1
