Absolutism: Connecting to conquest and colonies in Latin America

At your table groups . . . You’ll need text books and two 11x17 pieces of paper. One pair should read chapter 15, section 1 One pair should read chapter 15, section 2 When your pair is done reading, create a visual instructional tool for your section—flow chart, timeline, mind map, chart, etc. Be sure to include key people, countries, groups, terms, cause and effect.

Back in your full table group, share the information with the other pair starting with section 1.
When both groups have shared, discuss how all of this fits with absolutism and events happening back in Europe (keep the timeline in mind). Latin Am: late 1400s-mid 1500s Absolutism in Europe: mid 1500s-1600s On your own separate piece of paper, summarize your table group discussion.
