1 Healing the Sick Mark 2:13-17 (Mark 2:13-17), READ
1. Jesus: The Great Physician, Mk. 2: You wouldn't go to a false doctor when you are sick, yet many go to religious "fakes" and "quacks" who can never heal their souls. Mark 2:13-17

2 Matthew 15:19-20 1 Corinthians 15:33 Romans 6:23
The Dread Disease SIN Sin Affects Vital Organs, with the Heart as its Seat (Matthew 15:19-20), “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. 20 These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man." Sin is Contagious, Corrupting Others (1 Corinthians 15:33), “Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits." Sin is Fatal, Producing Spiritual Death (Romans 6:23), “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Matthew 15: Corinthians 15:33 Romans 6:23

3 Jeremiah 6:13-15 Ezekiel 34:1-4 2 Corinthians 11:3-4
Helpless Healers Jeremiah 6: Ezekiel 34: Corinthians 11:3-4 People-Pleasing Preachers (Jeremiah 6:13-15), “Because from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is given to covetousness; And from the prophet even to the priest, Everyone deals falsely.14 They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, Saying, 'Peace, peace! 'When there is no peace.15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed; Nor did they know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; At the time I punish them, They shall be cast down," says the Lord.” Self-Serving Shepherds (elders) (Ezekiel 34:1-4) READ Sin-Encouraging Doctrines and Sin-Accepting Churches (2 Corinthians 11:3-4), “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!”

4 The Great Physician Jesus! Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus Diagnoses and Heals All Sin, Matt. 11:28-30. (Matthew 11:28-30), “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Jesus Diagnoses and Heals the Sins of Immorality. Jesus Diagnoses and Heals the Sin of False Doctrine, John 8:32 (John 8:32), “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Matthew 11:28-30

5 Helpless healers give hollow hope Only in Jesus is there healing!
Conclusion Helpless healers give hollow hope (2 Peter 2:1-3), “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.” Only in Jesus is there healing! (Hebrews 4:15-16), “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Helpless healers give hollow hope Only in Jesus is there healing!
