Unweighted (base) gpa calculation
The unweighted (base) GPA is calculated by dividing: Total number of Quality Points by Total number of Credits attempted during each 9 week grading period Quality points are determined by the following letter grade values: A=4 B=3 C=2 D=1 F=0

Gpa calculation Class of 2020 & 2021 Class of 2022 & beyond
Grade Point Averages are cumulative calculations of all earned grades that occur during each nine-week grading period, mid- terms, and final exams. Unweighted (base) GPA + Add-on(after using divisor explained on slide 6 and 7) = Weighted GPA Weighted and Unweighted GPA are reported on transcripts. Grade Point Averages are cumulative calculations of all earned grades that occur during each nine-week grading period including quarterly exams. Unweighted (base) GPA + Add-on(using caps explained on slide 6 and 7) = Weighted GPA Weighted and Unweighted GPA are reported on transcripts.

Gpa calculation-weighted values
Class of 2020 & 2021 Class of 2022 & beyond Add-on weighted value for the following courses before weighted divisor(explained on slide 6 and 7): Advanced Placement (AP) for full year College in High School (CHS) – 0.25 for full year Honors – for full year Add-on weighted value for the following courses(no weighted divisor): Advanced Placement (AP) for full year, 0.02 per quarter College in High School (CHS) for full year, per quarter Honors for full year, 0.01 per quarter

Gpa calculation Class of 2020 & 2021 Class of 2022
Add-on weight is calculated using a formula with a divisor that began in 9th grade Divisor grows each 9 weeks as weight is available in 9th through 12th grade: Freshman year: 1st 9 wks through 4th 9 wks (Divisor=0.25, 0.50,0.75, 1.0) Sophomore year: 1st 9 wks through 4th 9 wks (Divisor=1.25, 1.50, 1.75, 2.0) Students will be able to take as many weighted courses for which they qualify, but the weight obtained each year will be capped at the following: Freshman year: 0.26 cap using available CHS and Honors course weights Sophomore year: 0.34 cap using available AP, CHS and Honors course weights

Gpa calculation Class of 2020 & 2021 Class of 2022
Junior year: 1st 9 wks through 4th 9 wks (Divisor=2.25, 2.50, 2.75, 3.0) Senior year: 1st 9 wks through 4th 9 wks (Divisor=3.25, 3.50, 3.75, 4.0) In weighted courses, students receive the add- on with a “D” grade (60%) or better. Junior year: 0.48 cap using available AP, CHS and Honors course weights Senior year: 0.48 cap using available AP, CHS and Honors course weights In weighted courses, students must obtain a "C" grade (70%) or better and must complete the course to earn the weighted add-on for the course.
