How to Get Access to the Trust Asset Accounting Management System (TAAMS)

2. What is TAAMS?
Trust Asset Accounting Management System (TAAMS) is the Department of Interiors’ system of record for title ownership, encumbrance, and land records through a centralized bureau-wide system for Trust and Restricted property.

3. User Responsibilities
Current authorized IA Federal Employee, or Tribal employee performing IA Trust Compacted or Contracted Trust Functions
Fill out Security Forms
BIA EQIP form
Moderate Risk Public Trust-Tier 2
System access: TAAMS
OF 306: Declaration of Federal Employment
Complete Security Awareness Training (FISSA+)

4. Government’s Responsibilities
Provide Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
Create IA employee Active Directory login
Create account in the Identity Information System (IIS)
Request system Access
Approve System access

5. Home Stretch!
Access will be granted upon verification of user credentials and approval of IIS access request.
An will be sent to the users Bureau of Indian Affairs account containing; a user id, a temporary password to access TAAMS, instructions on creating a new password, and a link to TAAMS from the IIS SA for TAAMS.
TAAMs can be accessed through the Department of Interior’s Virtual Private network (VPN).
● NOTE: If the user does not have a shortcut to TAAMS on their desktop they can submit a ticket to the BIA service center
