10
Unique houses - that still leaves 10 houses

The Big Question: Why are there so many churches? If they are similar, are they the same? How can I tell which one is the one Jesus built?
21
Jesus Built a Church "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it” Matthew 16:18 Purpose of edifcaiton is the most mentioned purpose.
22
Jesus Church is a House So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, Ephesians 2:19-20 Purpose of edifcaiton is the most mentioned purpose.
23
Jesus Is Throwing a Party
Then he said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are true words of God.“ Revelation 19:9 Purpose of edifcaiton is the most mentioned purpose.
24
There is Only One Home There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all Ephesians 4:4 Purpose of edifcaiton is the most mentioned purpose.
25
What Does the Invite Say?
Jesus’ house: Has one door Has one window Has one head and foundation Is not a denomination Purpose of edifcaiton is the most mentioned purpose.
26

What Does the Invite Say?
The One Door: "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved” Mark 16:16 What does the one door look like?
30
What Does the Invite Say?
The One Light: …..that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4
31
What Does the Invite Say?
The One Head: And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, Ephesians 1:22
32
What Does the Invite Say?
The One Foundation: For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ Corinthians 3:11
33
What Does the Invite Say?
It is not a denomination: It was not founded by man It is not ruled by man Its doctrine is not determined by men It is not one of many churches
34
Jesus Built His Church:
As the place for the Saints to wait for Him; To be a place that grows Saints for service; For the purpose of offering worship to Him Big Idea – if we live in the flesh, we war with it. ALL OF US. We are not “perverts” because we struggle with chastity Ga 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

All Things Are Ready! Luke 14:16-24 The problem with Jesus’ invitation: - Most DON’T WANT TO COME! Lu 14:16 But He said to him, "A man was giving a big dinner, and he invited many; Mt 22:2 17 and at the dinner hour he sent his slave to say to those who had been invited, 'Come; for everything is ready now.' Pr 9:2,5 18 "But they all alike began to make excuses. The first one said to him, 'I have bought a piece of land and I need to go out and look at it; please consider me excused.' 19 "Another one said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out; please consider me excused.' 20 "Another one said, 'I have married a wife, and for that reason I cannot come.' 21 "And the slave came back and reported this to his master. Then the head of the household became angry and said to his slave, 'Go out at once into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and crippled and blind and lame.' 22 "And the slave said, 'Master, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.' 23 "And the master said to the slave, 'Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled. 24 'For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste of my dinner.'"

How Do I Respond to the Invitation?
After hearing this: - To believe - To confess - To repent - To be baptized As a child of God: - Deny ungodliness - Deny worldly desires - Live sensibly - Live righteously - Live godly Saved! And found a way that purity could be restored – by a washing of sanctification and justification
