6. ARTIFACT This artifact was passed down by my great grandfather. He found it at an antique store and the antique owner said that it was used by some nobles in the past. This piece of jade is passed down to her daughter that the father has. In China, anything that has to do with jade is very precious. For this singular piece of jade, the Chinese word in the middle means happiness, good fortune and peace. It is usually used in the traditional Chinese marriages. So, whenever there is a marriage, the father of the daughter will pass the piece of jade to the family so hopefully it brings good luck and good fortune to the next generation.
