An entire year’s worth of curriculum is condensed into one semester.
Grades/Recommendations get you into the classes you want and colleges pay close attention to the classes you take!
Honors vs Academic level courses
A/B gets you into Honors
C or lower gets you into Regular courses
Not just about the grade- work ethic? Personal responsibility?

Get involved- join a team, club, after school program, get a part time job, babysit, etc.

Make a good first impression with teachers- it will lead to better relationships for you
School work will get harder all the time. Don’t have the expectation that you won’t have to work to keep getting the same grades
Don’t hang around the wrong crowd… You can go downhill fast
