Experience level for each sport
MHS does not discourage any student from trying out for a team. But since some of our sports have cuts, it’s important to have realistic expectations during tryouts. However, it’s important to realize experience is important in sports because many students have participated in their respective sport(s) for many years & have developed a strong skill set.
8
Experience level for each sport
Freshmen – Build a foundation of fundamental skills integrated with team concepts used at the Varsity level. JV – Focus on improving skill. Playing time will move to a more competitive process. Getting ready to contribute to the varsity team. Varsity – Competition! Focused on winning the ‘right way’.
9
