50 minutes There will be 2 activities taking place in the room today. A group of 12 students will have the opportunity to learn how to use Photoshop on the Apple Mac computers to create an Opie inspired ICT portrait. When one student finishes, another one will begin until all students have done this piece of work. 7

8 Whilst this is taking place the rest of the group will be creating some DESIGN IDEAS
50 minutes You will be given a small black and white photocopy of your line Opie portrait drawing. You will apply a thin layer of graphite to the back and turn it back over. Place this on your sketchbook page and draw around your outlines to transfer the image. Do this another two times on the same page. Now using your colour geometric patterns prep work, think about how you will create your own repeating pattern design which might relate to something about you. Change each design with different shapes and colours. You could also include various colour scheme ideas at the side of each individual design. 8

9 PREP.WORK Complete your 3 design ideas ensuring you have added colour to the backgrounds and also to your portrait.
