2. What is Title I?
Title I is a federal assistance program for schools. It provides extra funding and support to help students, teachers and families work together so students can be successful. All Title I schools in Pender County are “Schoolwide” Title I Schools. This means funding is used to/for the benefit of ALL students.

Know how your child is progressing throughout the year
Know how your school compares to other schools in Pender County and in North Carolina
Request information about the qualifications of your child’s teachers
Be engaged in educational decisions that affect your child
Offer your opinions about school programs by serving on the School Improvement Team, Parent Advisory Council and by responding to surveys and attending school meetings

Attending parent conferences and other school events
