6. How would the draft work today?
National Draft Lottery:
Men turning age 20 during year of draft would be drafted first
Then men ages 21,22,23,24,25
Men younger than 20 would not be drafted until men had already been drafted

7. How Would the Draft Work Today?

Similar Lottery Process:
Two large air drums; one filled with balls numbered 1-365, the other with each day of the year (January 1- December 31)

8. Assignment
Write and/or illustrate a poster for a draft notice. Be sure to address what is the need to be filled and the criteria for persons who are to be drafted.
Consider:
Will women be included or exempted?
What age range will the draft require?
Will certain professions (i.e., farmers, students, etc.) or objectors be exempted?
What is the punishment for failure to comply?
