3. -Who?- Puritans Puritanism -the more extreme English Protestants;
-Movement that arose in England in second half of 16th century;
-intend to go over the religious Elizabethan compromise;
-Why “Puritans”? --> "pure” -->wanted to "purify" the church of England.

4. -When/Where?-
It develop in England from Protestantism during Elizabethan period. After the Restoration of Anglican Church the Puritans were expelled from the Church of England. They migrated to America (New England).

Puritans
Rejected the power of official Church authorities (except the Bible)
Considered any sort of entertainment as a distraction form spiritual dimension.
Believed that God spoke in each man’s individual conscience.
Claimed sobriety of vestments.

If someone isn’t bless by God he will not progress.

You are aware of every consequence of your choise.
You are responsible of your choises.

9. Catholics ≠ Puritans -They reach salvation because God is good;
-If they do something wrong, God will forgive them.
They will reach salvation if they behave correctly.
