The Red Cross (and the Red Crescent) is an organisation that provides help for people in need or crisis – whether the crisis be caused by war, disaster, accidents or more day-to–day problems such as ill health. Each year there is an annual celebration of the movements work across the world.
During Red Cross Week, people across the UK come together to help raise money for people in crisis. This year the British Red Cross is running the campaign ‘Celebrate the Power of Your Kindness’ during Red Cross Week (6th - 12th May) and you can be part of it.

What small acts of kindness could you do to help someone in need?
Discussion techniques - Go back to the Bible passage ask “How does the theme link with the Bible passage?”
Discuss the question in pairs for 30 seconds then invite a response from each pair.
Use quick-fire answers e.g. throw a soft bean bag / toy to a student, when they answer they throw it back and you quickly throw to another student.
Simplify the question - Invite quick one-word answers, write them on the board, then reflect on the answers – see connections.
