Geneva Generation Facility was the first of its kind in North America, The City of Geneva partnered with Caterpillar to construct the plant and bring it online.
The plant is able to produce 30MW of electricity, enough to meet 1/3 of Geneva’s energy requirements on peak days. All five V-16 engines burn natural gas, weigh 300,000lbs a piece and stand two stories tall.
