ETSI ERM TG37 TG37 two weeks ago – plenary ERM last week.
"CALM" Work items adopted for MM wave, 5.9 GHz (next page), Networking SAPs, Architecture. Infrared adopted subject to confirmation of 4th member. ETSI have offered to host WG16 meeting. BMWi have offered to host 5 GHz meeting. ETSI keen to work with IEEE and already have liaison arrangement BRAN-IEEE which is being extended to include ERM-IEEE Next TG37 meeting 7-8 June in Sophia Antipolis (NICE- FRANCE)

European 5.9 GHz Title: Electromagnetic compatibility & Radio Spectrum Matters (ERM); System reference document covering Intelligent Transport Systems / Road Transport and Traffic Telematics communications systems operating in 5.9 GHz band Scope: System reference document covering the spectrum usage requirements and protection parameters for vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to roadside/infrastructure. A European assignment of protected spectrum GHz for high-reliability applications covering safety services is requested. This work supports the eSafety initiative This work is in co-operation with ISO TC 204 (Intelligent Transport Systems).
