Organizational Standards

What are the Organizational Standards
A set of standards to be used as a performance management and accountability system for CSBG. There are 58 Standards for Private CSBG Eligible Entities and 50 for public Eligible Entities They are separated into 9 different categories Established by IM 138 Consumer input and involvement Community engagement Community assessment Orgaizational leadership Board Governance Strategic planning Human resources management Financial operations and oversight Data and analysis

Why CSNOW We will provide training and technical assistance around the organizational standards, to help agencies improve. Our sole focus is on helping agencies meet more of the organizational standards, we are not monitoring you.

State Involvement The state will have access to view the information submitted on our site This is done prevent submitting paperwork multiple times, most information submitted for the organizational standards was previously submitted during the application process or at other times periodically through the year

Frequency Tab: This is meant to be a tool for you to utilize and help you keep track of what standards you have update and what ones you still need to update in the future When you are done making changes and updates go to the “submit” tab and submit it, if you do not do this none of your changes will be saved.

For each standard you will see 8 different areas: On top is the standard and how often that standard needs to be updated On the left hand side is the self-assessment portion you will find: An area to mark whether you think you are meeting the standard or not An area to leave comments and questions A way to select the type of document you are submitting to meet that particular standard A place to upload the document that shows you have met the standard If a document has been uploaded a link to view the uploaded document On the right hand side you will find: CSNOWs Opinion on whether you have met the standard or not CSNOWs comments and recommendations for improvement

If you see documents already uploaded in your assessment, these are the documents you submitted last year Make sure to review the documents you previously submitted and update as necessary

CSNOW has not left comments on all standards yet, just standards 1.1 – 1.3, check back regularly to see additional comments, recommendations and training for other standards
