24 Elevator Speech A portable emergency ventilator provides air to a person who is incapable of breathing on his or her own. Two previous senior design teams developed the latest versions of the MEDIRESP which is a unique ventilator that has a CPR mode. Before the MEDIRESP can go to market it must be tested. Our team’s project is to characterize the capabilities of the latest MEDIRESP design. Our system models the human respiratory system in order to collect flow, pressure, and volume data during different MEDIRESP settings. From this information we can determine if the MEDIRESP would be successful in an emergency setting. Steph
