Advanced Placement Class / Exam
The Class: The Exam: College course taught in high school, with the support and pacing appropriate for high school students Course title and grade appears on the transcript Course grade is not connected to the A.P. exam Test in May SCORING: 1-5 (3-5 = college credit) Colleges only know your test scores when you submit them. Measures depth/breadth of knowledge, quality of thinking, and creativity/application

Where do freshmen start?
The decision to take A.P. or honors is yours! Incoming 8th grade students should also have the approval of their teacher. Honors Language Arts 9 (1 year) A.P. Human Geography Geometry or Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry Biology or Chemistry (if math pre-reqs met) Spanish, German, French, or Japanese (If you want to enroll in a 4th year/A.P. course as a senior)

Options for the sophomore year?
The decision to take A.P. or honors is yours! A.P. European History, A.P. Psychology Honors Language Arts 10 or A.P. Language for the AP Capstone program A.P. Chemistry, A.P. Biology, A.P. Physics Advanced Algebra or Pre-Calculus Continue with a world language course
