The Life of Christ (6) Vocabulary Term The Angelic Conflict
Satan and the Fallen Angels / Doctrine of Angels Vocabulary Term The Angelic Conflict Human history is the time that God has allowed to resolve the appeal of Satan regarding his eternal condemnation in the Lake of Fire. Rev. 20:10 One attack is on the love of God…“How can a loving God cast His creatures into hell?” Another attack is on the justice of God…”Isn’t my punishment unfair?” A third attack is on the righteousness and perfection of God…”You created me, so my sin is your fault since you made me this way.” Man was created to resolve the Angelic Conflict and answer the appeal of Satan. Human volition was tested In the Garden of Eden just like the angelic volition was tested. Man’s positive volition toward God’s presents proof that Satan is wrong. Hebrews 1:4-14; Luke 15:7-10. This is a review of Satan and his fallen angels. The vocabulary Term is “The Angelic Conflict. The Life of Christ (6) The Angelic Conflict
Satan and the Fallen Angels / Doctrine of Angels The Angelic Conflict Hebrews 1:4–14 (NASB95) 4having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they. 5For to which of the angels did He ever say, “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again, “I will be a Father to Him And He shall be a Son to Me”? 6And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, “And let all the angels of God worship Him.” 7And of the angels He says, “Who makes His angels winds, And His ministers a flame of fire.” 8But of the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, And the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom. 9“You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness above Your companions.” 10And, “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands; 11They will perish, but You remain; And they all will become old like a garment, 12And like a mantle You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.” 13But to which of the angels has He ever said, “Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies A footstool for Your feet”? 14Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation? Satan and the Fallen Angels / Doctrine of Angels The Angelic Conflict Luke 15:7–10 (NASB95) 7“I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents (changes their mind and believes) than over ninety-nine righteous persons (already believers) who need no repentance 8“Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9“When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost!’ 10“In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Read and review this scripture. Angels were created to worship God, serve God and help/minister to people. They were not to rebel against God, but they were created with volition. The Life of Christ (6)

Satan and the Fallen Angels / Doctrine of Angels
The Life of Christ (6) Satan and the Fallen Angels / Doctrine of Angels Angels were all created perfect and sinless, as was Satan. Ezek. 28:15. Satan’s fall is described in Ezek. 28:15-17 and Isa. 14:12-14. Satan convinced one-third of the angels that he was right. Rev. 12:4. The time of their fall was after original creation (Gen. 1:1) but before the restoration. Gen. 1:3-31 All the angels were worshipping spectators when the world was created. Job 38:4-7 All Angels were created with volition but one third chose to follow Satan of their own free will (volition). As a result of their (fallen angels) fall they were sentenced to the Lake of Fire but not immediately sent there. Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:10. Review and look up these scriptures. 1/3/16 The Life of Christ (6)
