Learning’s Strategic Value
We as practitioners can easily get caught up in seeing the trees in lieu of the forest Admittedly, the tree itself can be huge Need to take a step back and see how the learning fits into the ‘big picture’ Questions to ask in this context include: How does the learning achieve strategic goals? How is the learning improving performance? What is the business case for this learning activity? Who cares and why? What is its enduring value? Whose language are you speaking – yours or theirs? What will you measure and evaluate, and why?
