Welcome to Video #4 of your 2019 Annual Enrollment for benefits at LSS “video series”! I’m Denis, and I’m Kaitlin. Hopefully you’ve already watched Video #1 – the overview of all the important news about 2019 benefits. If you haven’t, I highly recommend you watch Video #1 before this video. If you have watched the overview video already, let’s dive into your 2019 dental benefits, shall we?

2. Dental Benefits
LSS offers 2 dental plans for LSS staff to choose from – an Enhanced Plan and a Basic Plan!
Our Basic Plan has lower employee premiums but offers you “less rich benefits” than our Enhanced Plan
Our Enhanced Plan has higher premiums than but includes “richer benefits” than our Basic Plan (including Orthodontia benefits for both Adults and Children)

LSS offers two different dental plans to meet the unique needs of all staff and their families. For some employees, the benefits offered in the Basic Plan is what they want or need, and the lower prices for their employee premiums reflect the lesser level of benefits. For other employees, the benefits offered in the Enhanced Plan what they want or need, and the higher prices for employee premiums are worth it for them. The next couple of slides will show you some information about each plan’s benefits and costs. This info can be found on our LSS benefits website – www. lssliving. Org / benefits – along with a lot more information that you can always access from any computer with an internet connection.

LSS was excited to add a 2nd dental plan in 2018 that provided us with orthodontia benefits for adults as well as children. In 2019, we are increasing the benefit amounts for ortho from $1000 to $ That’s more in line with market norms, and we can do this through only modest sized increases to the employee premiums for the enhanced dental plan which we’ll talk about on the next slide.
Also on this slide you can see details regarding other benefits such as… how much your annual deductibles are or how much Delta Dental will pay in benefits per year, or in one’s lifetime when it comes to orthodontia benefits. You can also see the percentage of costs Delta will pay for varying levels of services, broken down by basic, major, and orthodontia. In 2019, we’ll see no changes to the costs of the Basic Plan but we will see modest increases to the cost of the Enhanced Plan since the orthodontia benefit is increasing by 50%.
Employee premiums for the enhanced dental plan will increase from 80 cents/month for individual coverage up to $3.02/month for family coverage.
