2. TB8100 BASE STATION TA2444-01 Change Over Module

3. Change Over Module Provides automated failure protection for TB8100
If the master channel fails, the antennas and User Interface are switched over to the standby channel
Solution is an equivalnet to the T800 + TA703 Changeover Module, but vastly more flexible.
Uses Task Manager and an Applications PCB
Operation can be customised by modifying supplied Task Manager template file (QA2444A8X)
Can be fitted to either a single or dual channel rack frame

4. Change Over Module
Alarms can be allocated to two priority groupings, ‘high’ and ‘low’, ensures best channel is always selected. Eg.
Slave channel is active channel
Master channel has low priority alarm.
If Slave channel detects high prioirty alarm, system will change-over back to the to Master channel as it’s alarm has a lower priority.
Default change over timings setup for ~5 seconds.
Optional external power sensors can be used to measure power levels at the antenna.
Receiver input is monitored by comparing RSSI levels and gate outputs from both channels.
A shared heart beat ensures the idle channel will seize control if active channel fails completely.
The same Task Manager template files are used in BOTH channels.
