Beta Club Congratulations!!! You are in the top 10% of your grade!
You are an elite group of students. Welcome New Invitees

You’ve Been Invited Because…
You are a 9th grade student who was in the Junior Beta Club as an 8th grader. You have a 3.5 G.P.A. or greater as a high school freshman.

Purpose Leadership: Beta Club members are to be leaders inside the classroom, on the court, and in the hallways. They are to be exceptional students and good examples. Social: Beta Club members come together to have fun with others who achieve at their elite academic level. Last year’s group planned several parties and a singing contest. Service : Beta Club is responsible for organizing and carrying out service projects that benefit the school. Possible projects could be canned food drives, school supply drives, baking cookies for the support staff, cleaning teacher’s classrooms, cleaning up the school etc. Fundraising: Whenever it is approved, you will be called upon to participate in fundraising activities to raise money for the club. Raising money is vital to keeping the club active and looking sharp.

Your Grades Beta Club members are expected to set an academic example at Elite Scholars. You should make A-B or A Honor Roll. A GPA that falls below 3.5 or poor performance will lead to dismissal from Beta Club.

Service Hours Be specific, include details and dates.
For in or out of club hours, you must have a signature from an adult in charge of the event. Parents cannot sign for a service project. Athletic training may count for up to 2 out-of-club hours per semester. Do not include activities performed for immediate family members; example- free babysitting. Many of the in-club projects are FREE.

Membership Dues $20 ($15 for the national chapter and $5 for the local club) due March 31st National dues are one time only.

Induction Ceremony Will be held in May You will receive an official invitation in April. Inductees meet in the library no later than 5:45. Proper dress required- look your best. Ties are encouraged for young men. Think Formal day! Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony.

Reminders: Turn in your Beta dues by March 31st, 2017
Induction will be held in May Invitations will be given to students who paid their Beta dues by March 31st.
