General overview Edge device = door controller and reader in one
2N Access Unit 2.0 General overview Edge device = door controller and reader in one Based purely on IP technology One cable installation even for powering (PoE) Multi-frequency RFID card reader Supplemented by Bluetooth or Touch Keypad Same stylish design as IP intercoms Remote configuration and management Easily installed edge device A single Ethernet cable (PoE) and a possibility to connect a door strike and REX button directly to the unit make the installation absolutely simple. Transition to secure cards Now you have only one device which ensures a step-by-step transition from obsolete, easy-to-copy 125kHz technology to a smart, more secure 13.56MHz. Same design as IP intercoms The access control unit will impress you with its elegant appearance, which has the same design as 2N IP intercoms. The unit comes in nickel or black and can be installed on the wall or flush mounted. Remote configuration and administration Thanks to IP technology, the access control unit can be administered remotely via its web interface. You can also use 2N® Access Commander software or the 2N® Remote Configuration service to administer the unit.

Multi-frequency RFID card reader Minimum wiring requirements
2N Access Unit 2.0 2N® Access Unit 2.0 RFID Multi-frequency RFID card reader 125kHz and 13.56MHz Minimum wiring requirements Time & Attendance terminal Mobile access control via NFC Multi-frequency RFID card reader The combined RFID reader is extremely useful in shared office buildings where some people use secure 13.56MHz smart cards and others use regular 125kHz cards. Minimum wiring requirements A single ethernet cable is all you need to ensure communication with the unit and power (PoE). You can also connect a door lock, exit button, door contact or motion sensor just as easily directly to the unit. Time & Attendance Terminal The 2N Access Unit 2.0 operates as a basic access terminal recording the arrival and departure of employees. Information on attendance is subsequently displayed in the 2N® Access Commander software. NFC support Thanks to wireless NFC technology, you can easily open the door using a smartphone with the 2N® Mobile Key application installed.

2N® Access Unit 2.0 Bluetooth & RFID
Convenience of mobile credentials Mobile credentials for FREE! 2N® Mobile Key application Secure, encrypted communication Different modes of user’s authentication Tap-in-app mode Touch mode Multi-frequency RFID card reader Convenience of mobile credentials Use a mobile phone instead of traditional RFID cards and make your access control convenient for the employees. Just install 2N® Mobile Key app into your smartphone (supported OS: Android and iOS) Mobile credentials for FREE 2N offers mobile credentials for free! You do not need to pay 5-10USD per each RFID card, neither per mobile credential. Simply install the app and use it without any further fees. Security comparable with Internet banking Thanks to Bluetooth v4 (BLE) technology and encrypted communication between the access control reader and the 2N® Mobile Key application, your access credentials cannot be misused Different modes for door opening Choose, whether a user opens a door using their smartphone through the 2N® Mobile Key application or if they keep the phone in their pocket and open the door by simple touching the unit.

Transition to smart and secured cards Smart automatic calibration Two-factor authentication Silent alarm activation Transition to smart and secured cards Ensure a step-by-step transition from obsolete, easy-to-copy 125kHz technology to a smart, secure 13.56MHz technology without the need for a high one-time investment. Smart automatic calibration With regular automatic calibration, the unit reliably registers and evaluates each touch and prevents detection of unwanted or false touches (e.g. raindrops). Two-factor authentication For an extra level of security, two-factor authentication can be set requiring users to confirm their identity by combining the RFID badge with a PIN code. Silent alarm A unique code can be set on the unit that opens the door, but also triggers another action without warning the intruder, such as setting off an alarm at the building security control centre.
