Destiny Wheeler I continue to be impressed on a daily basis with Destiny. Since the first day of school, she has remained consistent in her work ethic, her determination, and her drive. No matter what is happening in our eighth period class - and there are quite a few student distractions! - I can always look out and see Destiny working on something academic and positive. She completely disregards the drama and has her head bowed in studious effort. She has written in class how she believes that girls these days are too worried about beauty and their physical appearance, but they do not realize that intelligence is beauty. I have the utmost respect for any teenage female who believes this is true! Destiny has had plenty of opportunities in our class to react negatively towards other students, yet she never has. She has held her tongue and minded her own business, only focusing on her academics and her future. I have so much admiration and respect for this young woman, and I hope sincerely that her future is filled with the success, the happiness, and the beauty that she is searching for and that she very much deserves.

Vershunte Collins I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that I have noticed a great improvement in your academic success this year. It has been noticed just how very hard you have worked to overcome medical obstacles in your life. And, you continue to be a conscientious, hard-working student who is self-motivated and can work independently. You always seem engaged and focused on the work. You ask questions and remain interested in the subject at times when other students are struggling simply to stay awake. You are well regarded by your peers and other teachers. You exhibit a positive outlook and attitude in the classroom. You are thoughtful in interactions with others. The fact that you have managed to hold down a part-time job without allowing your academic work to suffer, helps me to realize that you are the quintessential student. Though you are only in high school, I can already see the kind of woman you will become, and I know I will be proud to say that I had just a tiny part in shaping that person.

Adamaris Reyes Adamaris is a very conscientious and exemplary freshman. She is always responsible with regard to homework and class assignments. Adamaris is a bright and respectful student that sets a good example for her peers. Her attitude toward instruction continues to be a positive factor in her success in school. She is a highly motivated student that strives to succeed in all aspects of her life and I am extremely proud of her ambition. Congratulations Adamaris!

Adam Deputy When teaching, there are certain students who can 'make a class.' These are students, rare thus valuable, who can single-handedly make the class different just by their contribution to it. Without these types, the class chemistry changes, and thus, the class is not as enjoyable to sit in if one is a student...the class is not as rewarding to teach if one is a teacher. Adam is just such a student. I admire his ability to give appropriate humor when warranted, pithy insight to class discussions, well-received support when others are in need. He helps in so many ways, and he is literally one of the reasons I actually look forward to teaching my 8th period, the ever-dreaded LAST class of the day. Thank you, Adam. You are awesome!

Mrs. Alicia Murray

Anna Hardin Anna has been in my classroom since her freshman year and has grown into determined student who sees clearly into her future and has started making plans. She has aspirations of becoming a vet and is in the process of making that happen. Her grades reflect her tenacity and goals. I see a bright future for Anna, she is smart, dedicated and creative and I can't wait to see that she has graduated from Vet school one day.

O’maga Arnold O'maga is bright, conscientious, and hard-working. Her attitude and motivation to do well every day make her a pleasure to have in class and a joy to teach. I know that I can always count on her to be attentive, putting forth her best effort, and leading those around her. She is a fine example of what an excellent chorus student should be, which makes her a true asset in my classroom.

Amna Sarwar Although I may not hear your voice in the sea of noise that rages in 8th period, you have established yourself in your own quiet way. I am proud of your tenacity and perseverance, and both qualities will carry you throughout your endeavors.
24
Mrs. Tish Terry

Hope Brown Hope has transformed, and I am honored to recognize her growth not only as a student, but more importantly, as a human being. The Hope I have the privilege of teaching today sets goals for herself, considers the outcomes of her actions, avoids negative influences, and offers her best effort. The genuine smile on her face when she recently received her report card spoke volumes. She is proud of herself, and she does not require public recognition to appreciate what she has accomplished. Hope's humility makes it even more special to honor her as a champion today.

Ms. Ryan Tucker

Logan Seale Logan is a great and reliable student. He always volunteers to help with anything in the classroom. Logan will not only do his best on his work, but he is willing to step up and help others when needed. He continues to be a role model to the other students in my class.

Ms. Elizabeth Zaldivar

Adam Henry Adam always comes into my classroom with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. Anytime he has trouble with an assignment, he is always sure to ask for help from me or other teachers in the English department. Adam consistently tries hard everyday and his effort reminds me why I am a teacher in the first place. When he reflects, he is thoughtful and sincere in his response. His particular class would not be the same without him and I am proud to have him as my student.
