2. Accumulation map from 2001 JGR paper
Based on reduced set of historical ice-sheet data (177 locations), i.e. eliminated redundant sites & those with high uncertainty
Included 42 PARCA cores, up through 1999
Two big limitations: low density of ice sheet data in the south where gradients are large & low density of data off the ice sheet, i.e. coastal data (15 points)

3. Ice sheet accumulation
Many gaps on the ice sheet filled in since 1999
Over 50 new locations
Interpolation approach being updated

4. Coastal data remain sparse
Revised coastal precipitation from both DMI & ASIAQ, based on visits to their offices
Work in progress to correct precipitation for wind

5. P - E from ERA-40 Patterns consistent with ice-sheet accumulation
Evaluating use of ERA-40 data in coastal areas as interpolation guide (not absolute values)
