6. Reading at home
Pick a good time.
Encourage independence-turning pages, pointing to the words.
Help them if needed but allow them to try!
Talk to them about the story. What is happening? What can you see? What do you think might happen and why?
Write in the reading diary abut how they got on then we will change the bug club book.
The ORT book is changed on a Friday.
On a Wednesday, we will keep the reading diary to write in them.
Please use this opportunity to read a wider range of books, magazines, game instructions etc.
