5. Views from the past 10 years: Strengths of education in Taiwan
Good solid foundations in elementary and high school (characteristics, personality, moral..)
Fair and equal opportunity for every kid of diverse background (Equality + Justice)
Well prepared in basic 3R+S skills (to meet parent needs)
Stable in educational surroundings (teacher involvements; government support; administrative efficiency; or even unions)

6. Views from the past 10 years: Weaknesses of education in Taiwan
Fixed and uniform curriculum (low diversity)
Practice and drills of reflexive learning (or test) skills
Inability to express verbally and in writing
Lack of creativity training
Lack of aggressiveness
Less emphasis on the synthesizing ability
Poor in international communication (e.g. English) skills

7. Trends toward the 2020: manpower competition and education changes
Is qualification equal to manpower quality; or is able to survive in the changeable future workforce…

Respect the cultural diversification (disadvantage groups with generosity; new Taiwanese generation; integrations with other opinions..)
