Some Basic Rules 1- usually come before another verb:
Modal verbs: 1- usually come before another verb: I must go to the library now. 2- are used with the infinitive but without the ‘to’ He can read French. And not : He can to read French.

1. Must: When we are sure/certain about something
Form: You must be tired: Subject + Modal + Verb (base form) + … Use: 1. Must: When we are sure/certain about something -> You didn’t eat your breakfast. You must be hungry 2. May: When we are not sure about something -> I don’t know where he is. He may be in the Kitchen 3. Can: When we talk about something possible -> I can open the door because I have the key. 3. Can’t: When we talk about something impossible -> I can’t see without my glasses
