2. Figure Comparison of genomic sequences harbouring mcr-1
The Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST) was used to compare the sequence similarity of mcr-1 using the following databases: National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) GenBank, the Integrated Microbial Genomes system of Joint Genome Institute (43 099 genome datasets including 4534 metagenomes), the Human Microbiome Project database, and the recently released 9·8 million human gut reference gene dataset2 in GigaDB. Samples of SZEY-48A and N009A are from a healthy control and T2D-17A is a from a patient with diabetes.
