10 The convergence between cooperative V2V, V2I solutions and internet connectivity together with automation functions needs a step-by-step approach. Cooperative systems need to evolve with new protocols and standards answering the needs for better and more reliable quality of the information Connectivity quality needs lower latency and more reliable transmissions Automation needs to be able to address more traffic and speed scenarios Source: C-ITS Platform, European Commission

11 CONCORDA is a CEF Project of 26 partners from the sector of Mobility Network Operators (MNOs) to Public Authorities and OEMs and Research centres (ERTICO is Project Manager) contributes to the preparation of the European motorways for automated driving and high density truck platooning with adequate connected services and technologies. the main objective of the Action is to assess performances(reliability/availability) of hybrid communication systems, combining p (via road side units) and LTE (via telecoms service) under real traffic situations.

12 ENSEMBLE Implement and demonstrate multi-brand truck platooning

13 Urban Mobility

14 Urban Mobility 2018 Interoperability in MaaS (APIs)
Launch MaaS validation scheme 2019 Integrated urban mobility solutions Integrated urban mobility solutions Guidelines and framework for MaaS deployment 2030 2020 Established MaaS APIs and Services Plug-and-play cities & C-ITS Services Holistic mobility management (integrating multimodality and traffic management systems 2022 Vision for UM: facilitate innovative ways to re-think transport services and improve mobility in urban environments; work towards urban mobility systems that can integrate multimodality towards holistic traffic management. 2025 Fully flexible and personalised mobility for all Connecting TM networks

21 Transport & Logistics

22 Transport & Logistics 2018 Work on automation of freight processes and data exchange 2019 Seamless logistics and freight Seamless logistics and freight Facilitate multimodality in F&L operations 2030 2020 Established AEOLIX cloud-based multi-enterprise network for data in real-time from different IT systems Full digitalisation and automation of TL Wide deployment of AEOLIX as space of certified TL operations 2022 Vision for TL: connect logistics information systems for immediate (real-time) exchange of information for more efficient and interoperable freight and logistics applications and processes. Seamless Logistics & Freight. 2025 Intergrade ports and TM establishing seamless mobility management systems

23 AEOLIX - digitalisation in logistics
Enhanced supply chain visibility More efficiency and better resilience Fewer costs, less administrative burden New business opportunities Optimised choice of transport services Better transport and event management Increased load factors Fewer CO2 emissions  AEOLIX aims to overcome today’s fragmentation and lack of connectivity around ICT-based systems for logistics.  Our ambition is to develop a cloud-based, multi-enterprise “many-to-many” network which captures and streams data in real-time, and automatically translates “data format” from different IT systems giving companies the ability to rapidly respond to issues through a customised dashboard. We expect an impact of 30% reduction in greenhouse emissions ( The chart shows the benefits) This open network enhances end-to end visibility across the supply chain supporting the workflow across companies/authorities; facilitate the automation of data flowand flexible relationship management of logistics actors. The AEOLIX network facilitates the interaction with the legacy systems as well as providing some extra services that will support the monitoring of carbon footprint of logistics operations, estimated time of arrival at hubs or terminals, customs related services, electronic transport documents. These services reduce delays, costs, and enables optimal load factors for shippers and transport operators. Last but not least, the AEOLIX network ensures the scalability & interoperability in line with standards and EU policy rules.

24 ERTICO supports 2018 Year of Multimodality International cooperation
Multimodality of goods and people goes beyond borders International cooperation

25 Shaping intelligent mobility together
