1 Health & Safety Training
Part I As you may be aware, the province of Ontario has recently passed new legislation, which mandates all employees of a company to be trained in workplace Health and Safety awareness.  Weight Watchers Canada Ltd. is required to comply by law. As such, the Ministry of Labour has created an online training course that takes approximately minutes to complete.  This training is mandatory and must be completed individually within the first week of employment. Please set aside the time to complete this training during the work day. To complete the Ministry of Labour training, follow the steps below: Click on the following link: If you are an employee who is not a manager or supervisor: If you are an employee who is a manager or supervisor: Follow the instructions online and do not skip the videos or questions as the training site will not let you proceed. Once completed, print and save a copy of the certificate with your name spelled correctly on it.  DO NOT exit the screen without printing or saving as you will not be able to go back in and you will have to complete the entire training again.   If you encounter technical problems please contact IT. Send a copy of your certificate via or drop it off in person to Daniel in HR before the above deadline.

Part II At Weight Watchers we are committed to our employees and take into consideration individual needs. With that in mind, it is important for us to ensure we maintain an accessible work environment for everyone through our compliance with the Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).  It is also required by law for all Ontario employees of Weight Watchers Canada Ltd. to receive this second phase training. The Government of Ontario and the Ontario Human Rights Commission have created online training courses to complete.  This training is mandatory and must be completed individually. Please set aside the time to complete this training during the work day. Below you will outline the required training modules to be completed. Each module is roughly 25 minutes in length. 1. General Requirements Training (Required for all employees) 2. Information & Communications Standard Training (Required If you are involved with the creation, providing or receiving of communications at WWCL) 3. Employment Standards Training (TMs, DMs, HR, and anyone with access to modify recruitment policies and responsibility for accommodating employees) 4. Ontario Human Rights Code Training (Required for all Employees) To complete the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act training I-III, follow the steps below: Click on the following link: Click on each of the training modules listed above that apply to your role, and then click the link that reads “Watch It”. To complete the Ontario Human Rights Code training, follow the steps below:  (Required for all employees) Click on the following link: Click on each video module. When the video has finished, click “Next”, or use the navigation menu on the left of the screen to go to the next section. Once you have completed all training modules, please download and complete the AODA training completion acknowledgement form and return it to HR.
