What is Latitude? Lines of latitude run from left to right and are labeled NORTH and SOUTH. LAT IS FLAT Equator: The equator is the line of Latitude at 0°. Everything above the equator is the northern hemisphere and below it is the southern hemisphere.

How Do I Write Latitude & Longitude?
Latitude comes first, Longitude comes second. Example: Latitude, Longitude 30° North, 90° West 60° South, 30° West Always put a degree sign ° after the number.
