2. PSCI Community CNM Learn Page
Goal – To create a forum for PSCI faculty to use for storing their teaching materials so that colleagues can benefit from each others’ experience and research.

3. Locating Materials on PSCI Community Page
This website begins with a wiki page so that members of the PSCI Program may discuss where and how to locate and name materials submitted to the Community Page. This is an example of the location format that was discussed by faculty.

4. Naming Protocols Example - Assignments, Discussion Prompts & Assessments/Test Banks Folders
To name assignments we need to be sure we know what they are. 
I suggested these three items as the most important:
Text or Faculty Derived
Topic
Form
So in an American Government Course under Assignments one might see: 
Boye-Lynn, Political Parley Paper
Under Discussion Prompts for Political Ideas: 
Taylor, Citation and Argumentation Progression
Or if the text provided a really great discussion prompt set in American Government: 
WTP10(We the People 10th Ed), Topical Text Set

5. Individual Course Pages
Each course page has:
Master Syllabus
Publisher Content
In addition, faculty can add their own material whether it be media lists or links, lecture notes, or assignments.

6. Challenges Takes time to enter in personally developed materials
Takes thought to consider how and where to enter the materials
Requires instructors to “buy in” to sharing
CNM Learn (Blackboard) has limited searchability
Little metadata that can be applied to materials
No search tool which uses that metadata to find materials
Must all be organized by the users
No clear mechanism for removing materials not in use

Textbook requests
CNM Web for Faculty Handbook
Provide the example
Have willing instructors enter and offer materials to begin the exchange
Post and instructors regarding available materials
Open discussions on topics of interest to faculty members
