3 WHY INTERVIEW YOU? The interviewer is looking for the RIGHT person – the person who carries the characters they want These characters are usually in abstract form – can’t be found just by looking at your academic results or CV

- Presentation skills: clarity - Organizational skills B. Critical Thinking: - Logical thinking: 1→2→3→4 - Rational thinking: plan, calculate, assess - Ability to continue an argument - Ability to understand others: Listening skills C. Leadership and Team Work: (Group Interview) - Leadership skills - Team work D. Creativity

- Tell yourself that you can do this Be calm: - Try to stay calm and relax - Do not be nervous. Take a deep breath if you are very nervous. Treat this as one of your PRACTICE . .

- Be friendly, sincere and energetic - Show your positive attitude and do not be too aggressive! Be creative: - Don’t be afraid to express your ideas.

Keep smiling Keep eye contact Control your body, don’t swing Don’t bit your nails Be polite To express yourself clearly Say “good morning / good afternoon” when you walk in the room Say “good-bye” when you walk out the room Nob your head when you walk in Maintain your eye contact with the interviewers PRATISE your answers (preferably with someone else)

9 BUILD YOUR SELLING POINTS
Make a list of what you have done in the past 4 – 5 years : activities, internships, community services, short-term training programmes, summer programmes, non-academic achievements Make a list of courses you have taken Find the values / attributes that attract your interviewer

10 BUILD YOUR SELLING POINTS
Activities or public services that have developed your interpersonal communication skills and leadership skills Community services that have broadened your horizons and given you the experience to work with different walks of people Internships or business participation experience that helped you understand business culture
