Write an advice letter to your teen
Imagine your teen is your age right now. Include in the letter any goals you had at this age, and what those goals did for you. Write to your teen about taking risks – what kinds of risks are good to take and what kind are not. Discuss any memorable risks you took as a teen. Tell your teen how to deal with failure and disappointment, so they won’t be discouraged when things don’t work out the way they want. Tell them any other advice you have from living through your own teen years.
