Students enter the world of a professional jazz musician through this intensive, 2 1/2-hour workshop where they will rehearse and record jazzy renditions of several Disney songs under the direction of a Disney teaching artist. Performers master specific techniques to maximize rehearsal time and execute a stellar performance as they: Sight-read Disney music arrangements ranging from Grades 1.5 to 4 Learn how critical timing is to all styles of jazz Perfect attacks and releases using a jazz vocabulary Fine-tune improvisation skills with proven tips and techniques Discover the differences between swing, Latin and rock styles Become more familiar with the blues, pentatonic scales and standard progressions Discuss the requirements of a studio recording environment and what is expected of performers JAZZ IT UP WORKSHOP: Experience the excitement of a recording studio environment as a Disney clinician conducts your group through a rehearsal and recording session of classic Disney selections played jazz-style.

Travel Details Travel between GCHS and BUF provided by School District Southwest will accept the first two checked bags for free provided that the bags do not exceed 50 lbs and 62 inches (L+W+H). Per TSA regulations, carryon items are limited to one bag, plus one small, personal item. Carryon bag dimensions are limited to 10 x 16 x 24 inches. Musical Instrument Policy: If your musical instrument (including case or covering) exceeds the sizing requirements for carryon items (10"x16"x24"), it can be carried onboard if it will fit in an overhead bin or under a seat onboard the aircraft and there is space available when you board the aircraft for the instrument. A musical instrument may be checked in substitution of one piece of the free Checked Baggage allowance for each Passenger at no charge on a one-item-for-one-bag basis. Important Information
Students must travel in groups of at least 3. Disney cast members have direct access to GC chaperones. Students expected to attend school on Wednesday, Apr. 10. Photos and videos of Disney trip will be available following trip. Important Information
