Using books or the internet research the difference between hard and soft woods.
Using books or the internet describe how MDF and Plywood are manufactured.
Find some products/packaging that have the FSC logo on it.
Explain the role of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). How does it link to the different types of wood?
Plastics come in 2 main categories, thermosetting plastic and thermoplastic, research the names of different types of plastic that fit into each category
Collect examples of products/packaging made from plastics.
Research the logos found on plastic packaging that link to recycling, what are they and what do they mean?
Metals come in 3 main categories, ferrous, non ferrous, alloys. Research the different types of metal, name examples of different types of metal that go in each category.
Collect examples of products/packaging made from metal or with foil lining
Research which metal products/ packaging can be recycled, how many of these items do you use? How many do you recycle? Create a table that shows what can be recycled and what you do recycle.
