1 The Kite Runner Amir As An Adult Sarah Sharkey

2 Highlight Of Amir As A Child
Amir is the Narrator of the story and also the central character. He is known to be jealous of the way Baba treats Hassan and the attention he is given compared to Amir. During his childhood Amir is known to be a struggled young boy with conflict and secrets happening between himself and the ones he loves.

3 Amir As An Adult As Amir's life starts to change he notices all the small things that he once took for granted were not always around the corner and sometimes that’s how life treated you. When Amir's life starts to settle down, he then starts to think of how fatherhood would treat him, and what his future may bring him. However his past again haunts him.

4 Amir As An Adult… Later on in the story Amir can the be considered as a more likeable character when he goes back to Afghanistan to be able to develop the moral courage to rescuing his nephew, Sohrab. This then shows that Amir has developed as a main character and is finally showing his true courage. At the end of the book Amir is now no longer considered to be a weak character due to the fact he is willing to finally tell the truth no matter how it makes him look.

5 Key incidents that show change:
Amir takes the opportunity to go back to Afghanistan and try to make things right between the people he loves. He does not give up on fighting to get Sohrab back to a safe country and to have a safe life. When back in America Amir learns that he has to give his Nephew time to adjust to his new life and gives him the space he needs to grow. Amir tells Sohrab “For you a thousands times over”, just like Hassan saying it to Amir when they were younger.
