4 Approach of the study Two strands of the research question = call for an interactive, innovative formate Political pointed task of the EU for the universities Need for a better overview and an insight into the field of practise and implementation Purpose: to interrogate the relevance of an external political impulse in higher education structures and procesesses

Technical University, University Center for Labour and Politics at the University of Bremen

To deal adequately with the immanent diversity of different levels of experience and hierarchies - multi- perspective approach To get a high precision fit of the research design by the involvement of the relevant stakeholder in the field – tailered focusgroup approach Relevant research questions from the perspective of the active players and their recommendations based on the results – applied policy research approach Realization of participation as a core issue of the EU within the research framework - participative approach Different types of universities, f.e.
