Founded by Jakob Oetama and PK Ojong in 1963 Founded in 1974 We are General publisher that publish Children’s books, Juvenile/teenage books, fiction, nonfiction, entertainment and cooking. Annually we publish circa 2,000 titles, 60% of which are translations from many languages and countries. We have also sold copyrights abroad. Become the largest publishing company in Indonesia, which chain of books store nation wide (114 stores in Indonesia)

5 Fact of Books sales in Indonesia
Total market share in Indonesia is around Rp14,1Trillion per year. Indonesian government purchase 60% of it for education. Gramedia books store is the only big book store hold 61% marked share. Gramedia receives around titles (2014), 10% of them, are imported books and 5% are school books. In average book are printed as many as 3000 copies/title. Only 3% reaches copies. Kumparan(Apr/2017)

16 The relation between editors, writers and readers is far more important than number of followers.
We have to maintain all social media platforms or online networks and bring them into offline community and bring them back again into online. This process online-offline-online goes on and on. In the future, we continue with all media that we have and, keep on updating with the latest technology. And we focus on developing GWP.
