2. HIV And Aids Definition
HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus.
Aids is acquired immunodeficiency syndrome
It is the HIV virus that can lead to aids

3. Viruses and what are they
an infective agent that typically consists of a nucleic acid molecule in a protein coat, is too small to be seen by light microscopy, and is able to multiply only within the living cells of a host.
the virus injects its genetic material into the host cell. the host cell uses the genetic material to make new viruses. the host cell splits open, releasing the viruses.

4. Where did it come from?
Scientists identified a type of chimpanzee in West Africa as the source of HIV infection in humans. They believe that the chimpanzee version of the immunodeficiency virus SIV. This was most likely transmitted to humans and mutated into HIV when humans hunted these chimpanzees for meat and came into contact with their infected blood.

5. How is it contracted?
Contact between broken skin, wounds, or mucous membranes and HIV-infected blood or blood-contaminated body fluids. Deep, open- mouth kissing if both partners have sores or bleeding gums and blood from the HIV-positive partner gets into the bloodstream of the HIV- negative partner. 
Sharing needles or syringes, rinse water, or other equipment (works) used to prepare drugs for injection with someone who has HIV. HIV can live in a used needle up to 42 days depending on temperature and other factors.
This disease can also be transmitted by any type of intercourse

6. Where was it first recorded, in the US And world and what are the symptoms
The first verified case of HIV is from a blood sample taken in from a man living in what is now Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. 
The first case of aids in the U.S. was in San Francisco
Flu-like symptoms such as fever, sore throat, and fatigue can occur. More AIDS symptoms include weight loss, fever or night sweats, fatigue, and recurrent infections.

7. How long can it take to develop into aids?
Persons with HIV can develop signs of infection anywhere from months to years after being infected. About half of the people with HIV develop AIDS within 10 years, but the time between infection with HIV and the onset of AIDS can vary greatly
