Instead of declaring war on Serbia right away, Austria Hungary gives Serbia an ultimatum

in the assassination of Franz Ferdinand
3. Austria-Hungary asked that they come into Serbia and
get rid of the Black Hand

On July 26th 1914 Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia
Russia & then France put their armies on German border
Germany told them to take away their armies, but they did not so Germany attacked them
